We warmly congratulate our company on the successful completion of the QES certification renewal audit under the Great Wall System.

The QES management system is an abbreviation for the Quality, Environmental, and Occupational Health & Safety

The QES management system is an abbreviation for the Quality, Environmental, and Occupational Health & Safety Management System. It encompasses the ISO 9001 quality standard, the ISO 14001 environmental standard, and the ISO 28001 occupational health and safety standard. In this system, Q stands for quality, E stands for environment, and S stands for safety—also representing occupational health and safety. The theoretical essence of the QES management system lies in: adhering to the PDCA cycle concept; starting from reality in all endeavors; employing a work approach characterized by seeking truth from facts and rational thinking; adopting a mindset that emphasizes prevention first and continuous improvement; taking a systematic, pragmatic approach focused on practical results; and emphasizing effective, appropriately calibrated scientific evaluation methods. By continuously promoting PDCA-based continuous improvement, the management system becomes more efficient, optimized, and better suited to its purpose.

The QES management system requires that corporate management activities be highly controlled—that is, there must be clear rules of the game that all employees and relevant parties are expected to follow. The system also calls for management processes to be proceduralized, documented, and standardized. Each enterprise can, based on this methodology and in light of its own specific circumstances, establish a QES management system tailored to its unique characteristics. The QES management system comprises four levels of documentation: the “QES Management Manual,” “QES Procedure Documents,” “Inspection Procedures, Technical Standards, Work Instruction Manuals, and Management Systems,” and “Record Files and Forms.”

Since first obtaining the quality management system certificate in 2005, our company has successively acquired certificates for safety and health management systems. The QES certificates are renewed through annual surveillance audits every three years. Our company has held the QES management system certificate for 11 years already. During these 11 years, the company has operated very effectively under the guidance of the QES management system, with all operations proceeding smoothly and receiving unanimous praise from the industry.

From April 27 to 29, 2016, the Tianjin Great Wall Quality Assurance Center conducted a re-certification audit of our company’s three management systems: quality, environment, and occupational health and safety. Over the course of three days, the auditors carried out a comprehensive review of our company’s processes—including design, procurement, manufacturing, quality control, and system operation—covering blowout preventers, blowout prevention devices, downhole tools, and drilling and production accessories. Following the audit, the audit team concluded that our company’s QES quality management system conforms to the requirements of GB/T19001, GB/T24001, and GB/T28001 standards and recommended that we proceed with certificate renewal. On May 13, 2016, the Tianjin Quality Assurance Center issued our company new certificates for the three management systems: quality, environment, and occupational health and safety.
