According to a report from China National Petroleum Corporation’s website (contributing reporter Chen Fan, correspondent Hu Jia), on July 19, at the well site of Well H41-2 in Changqing Oilfield, the C4394 team of the Changqing Branch of the Logging Company retrieved the perforating gun string from the well. The first-stage bridge plug and perforation integrated operation task for this well has been successfully completed, marking the first successful field application of China’s first domestically developed remote rapid connector for wellheads.
According to reports, the domestically developed remote rapid connector for wellheads, which is compatible with the Changqing Branch, is another powerful tool for accelerating and improving the efficiency of “bridge-frac combined pressurized fracturing.” This device enables a variety of operations—including remote lifting and insertion, remote locking and securing, rapid pressure testing, remote unlocking, lifting and removal, and remote ball injection—thus not only keeping operators away from the high-pressure zone at the wellhead and reducing the risks associated with高空作业 and high-pressure-zone operations, but also significantly lowering the physical labor intensity on-site and boosting construction efficiency. Compared to manual operations, it saves more than 25 minutes in wellhead installation time.
To ensure the successful debut of the domestically produced wellhead remote quick connector, the Changqing Branch arranged for Team C4394 to prepare the instruments and invited technical personnel to provide on-site training. As a result, the team has thoroughly mastered the technical principles and operational procedures of the wellhead remote quick connector, laying a solid foundation for its successful application.
As of now, the Changqing Branch has successfully carried out three operations using domestically produced remote rapid wellhead connectors. The success rates for single-wellhead connection, pressure testing, and remote ball launching all stand at 100%.
