On September 3, the 4th China (Baoji) International Industrial Products Procurement Fair (International Oil Equipment Procurement Conference) opened grandly in Baoji, Shaanxi Province. The fair is organized by the China Chamber of International Commerce, the China Petroleum and Petrochemical Equipment Industry Association, and the Shaanxi International Chamber of Commerce, and is hosted by the Baoji Municipal Council for the Promotion of International Trade.

At 9:00 a.m. on September 3, the opening ceremony of the 4th China (Baoji) International Industrial Products Procurement Fair (International Oil Equipment Procurement Conference) was held at the Baoji Convention and Exhibition Center. The opening ceremony was chaired by Li Ying, Vice Mayor of the Baoji Municipal People's Government. Xu Qifang, Vice Governor of the Shaanxi Provincial People's Government and Secretary of the Baoji Municipal Party Committee of the CPC, Chen Lilong, Consul General of Malaysia in Xi'an, Cheng Guangming, Inspector of the Shaanxi Provincial People's Government, Zhang Yi, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Chamber of International Commerce, Zhang Yubao, Executive Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of the China National Petroleum Association, Ma Yuhong, President of the Shaanxi Provincial Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Wu Tie, Deputy Secretary of the Baoji Municipal Party Committee of the CPC, and Liu Rongxian, Member of the Standing Committee of the Baoji Municipal Party Committee and Executive Deputy Mayor, jointly inaugurated the fair.

The exhibition covers an area of 15,000 square meters, with 60% of the booths featuring custom designs and 95% of exhibitors presenting physical products. These highly specialized and segmented exhibition zones provide a more professional and precise platform for procurement in the petroleum equipment industry, greatly facilitating companies’ concentrated displays of their latest products and technologies, and making it even easier for professional buyers to visit and explore.

Concurrently with the exhibition, the "6th Forum on the Construction and Development of the Petroleum and Petrochemical Equipment Industry Base" was held. At the forum, leaders and guests discussed topics including the development of the petroleum and petrochemical industry, the demand and requirements for equipment, the status of base construction and development, new models for the development of petroleum and petrochemical equipment industry clusters (bases), as well as the development goals, directions, and measures for the 14th Five-Year Plan period, thereby promoting the sustainable, high-quality development of China's petroleum and petrochemical equipment industry. During the forum, the China National Petroleum Equipment Association initiated a proposal to establish the "National Alliance of Petroleum and Petrochemical Equipment Industry Bases." Xu Qifang, Vice Governor of the Shaanxi Provincial People's Government and Secretary of the Baoji Municipal Party Committee of the CPC, and Xue Yiping, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Executive Vice President of the China Machinery Industry Federation, jointly unveiled the plaque for the "China·Baoji Petroleum Equipment Manufacturing Base."

The expo boosts industrial development and showcases Baoji’s strength.

Baoji is a strong city in equipment manufacturing with a solid industrial foundation. It has been designated by the national Guan Tian Plan as a base for new materials and a base for high-end equipment manufacturing. Baoji is home to China's largest R&D and manufacturing enterprise for land-based oil drilling rigs—the Baoji Petroleum Machinery Co., Ltd.—as well as China's largest specialized oil-welded pipe processing enterprise—the Baoji Petroleum Steel Pipe Co., Ltd.—and more than 150 other enterprises engaged in petroleum equipment and related supporting industries, forming an industrial cluster characterized by leading enterprises and a complete industrial chain. Among these, Baoji’s petroleum drilling and production equipment, oil transmission pipelines, mud pumps, and well-control devices—along with other accessories—are renowned both at home and abroad, and are exported to numerous countries and regions worldwide.

The holding of this exhibition has facilitated exchanges between Baoji and enterprises from various regions, broadened trade channels, and further enhanced the brand awareness, reputation, and influence of Baoji’s petroleum equipment industry. It serves as an important platform for Baoji’s petroleum equipment enterprises to “go global” and for renowned domestic and international companies to “come in,” thereby boosting the development of Baoji’s petroleum equipment industry. At the same time, it also holds great significance for Baoji’s efforts to establish itself as a renowned city for equipment manufacturing, build a new pattern of open economic development, and create a new high ground for inland development and opening-up in western China.
