On August 6, the Science and Technology Bureau of the Municipal High-tech Zone Management Committee, in collaboration with the Zhongguancun All-Science Alliance, organized nine expert professors from relevant fields—including the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Xi'an Petroleum University, and Baoji University of Arts and Sciences—to conduct a technical needs assessment of our company. The purpose was to gain an in-depth understanding of the company’s development status, accurately assess its current situation and trends, and address the internal challenges—such as “bottlenecks, pain points, and sticking points”—that the company faces in technological research and innovation. During the assessment, Zhang Dawei, Director of the company’s R&D Center, outlined six technical bottlenecks encountered by the company in ongoing projects, including “the erosion of pipelines caused by high-pressure, high-flow sand-mixing fluids” and “the selection of materials for ultra-high-pressure components capable of withstanding pressures above 140 MPa.” Both sides engaged in technical discussions and exchanges on these issues and reached a consensus with the attending experts and professors on collaborative efforts to tackle these technical challenges. This initiative represents a practical implementation of a “industry-academia-research-government” integrated innovation system—a platform that brings together government organizations, research institutions, and enterprises as the main actors in technological research and innovation. It provides an open, comprehensive cooperation platform for the company to advance technological R&D and product innovation and to resolve urgently needed specific technical problems.
Also attending today’s meeting are leaders from the High-Tech Zone Management Committee, the company’s general manager, chief engineer, and technical staff from the company’s R&D center.
